The Problem with InvoiceSimple
- Severe limits on free tier (3 docs/mo)
- Expensive monthly subscriptions
- Generic workflow not tailored to field trades
- Manual tax entry
InvoiceSimple used to be the go-to for independent contractors, but recent aggressive monetization (limiting the free tier to just 3 documents per month and raising premium prices) has made it unviable for tradesmen doing multiple jobs a week.
Why Contractors are Switching
1. **The Paywall:** 3 invoices a month is a weekend's work for a plumber. DoXMitra offers **unlimited** generation.2. **Generic Tooling:** InvoiceSimple is built for everyone from web designers to dog walkers. DoXMitra is built strictly for trades, featuring pre-loaded line items like "Diagnostic Fee" and "Refrigerant Recharge."
3. **Manual Tax Math:** DoXMitra's engine auto-calculates complex regional taxes (like Texas state vs. local rates) automatically. InvoiceSimple leaves the math to you.
